Travelling Classroom Cuba - Mirta Aguirre

First week
During the first week you have 25 Spanish lessons (from Monday to Friday) at the language school in Havana. On Friday afternoon, you travel by bus to Viñales in the western Part of Cuba where the following activities are included during the weekend: a visit to a rum and tobacco factory, excursion to a botanical garden and to an interesting cave system. There is also a walk through the beautiful countryside of Piñar del Rio and encounters with farmers.

Second week
During the second week you have 16 Spanish lessons (mainly conversation) including sightseeing or activities. Santa Clara: This city is a symbol of the Cuban revolution. You visit the tomb of Che Guevara and the Tren Blindado-Memorial. Trinidad: Enjoy the old town, where the time obviously has been standing still since the mid of the last century. You also have enough time to relax on the beautiful beaches. Late Saturday afternoon, you go back to Havana.

Components of teaching are equally conversation and grammar. Geography and the extremely varied Cuban cultural scene will also be covered in the lessons. The motivated teachers are even available after the official lessons.
